A participatory arts and community centre in a converted 1841 Congregational chapel near Liverpool's Chinatown arch, operating since 1967 as the UK's first national participatory arts centre. Spaces include a large in-the-round Main Space (up to 550), a raked-seating Chamber Theatre (around 120), a Gallery with coffee bar, a flat-floor Studio, and roof-level office/workrooms. Used for exhibitions, performances, conferences, film production, weddings and workshops.
